Curtis Ho, MArch, BDes

Computational Design Architect

Curtis is a Computational Design Architect that aims to balance creative expression with the practical demands of a project. He does this by developing computational systems that automate the repetitive, quantifiable tasks associated with compliance, accessibility, and sustainability.

Drawing on eight years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Curtis offers a practical perspective to computation. He gained a deep understanding of the design and construction process by managing and building a variety of projects, from institutional youth shelters to private homes at highly awarded firms like Shim Sutcliffe Architects and Levitt Goodman Architects and Partners.

Curtis holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto, where he focused on analyzing complex built environments by developing custom computational tools. He also earned a degree in Environmental Design from OCAD University, which helped him develop skills in visual storytelling and a strong understanding of accessibility and sustainability principles.

By developing systems that leverage data and computational technology, he aims to free up designers to focus on what they do best: creating exceptional Architecture.
